From an early age, Yared Negu was drawn to music, inspired by Ethiopia’s rich sounds and rhythms. Growing up, he would sing at local gatherings, mesmerized by the way music could bring people together. As he honed his craft, he realized that his voice carried a unique power—one that could touch hearts and tell stories. Determined to follow his passion, he immersed himself in Ethiopia’s musical heritage while embracing modern influences.

Yared’s big break came with Adimera (አዲ መራ), a song that quickly became a nationwide sensation. Its heartfelt lyrics and unforgettable melody resonated deeply, earning him a devoted following. He followed this success with Yemerkato Arada (የመርካቶ አራዳ), a vibrant tribute to Addis Ababa’s iconic market scene. These songs, alongside his other hits, established him as a key figure in Ethiopian music, blending traditional and contemporary sounds effortlessly.
